Our Story

What is WhatTheWorldNeeds.org?
An online marketplace whose ethical product offerings support education as well as not-for-profit organizations through the Two 4 One Campaign.

Caren Day
Founder – WhatTheWorldNeeds.org; Author – You & Me; Co-writer – You-nique

Day’s writing career has taken her from the Nashville music scene to writing screenplays in Los Angeles. She dreamed of writing a children’s book since she was a kid herself and You & Me was born from that dream; it is Day’s first venture into the world of children’s literature. Using the skills she honed as a song writer in Nashville, she also collaborated with a writing partner, Nancy Casteele, to create a companion song for the book, You-nique.

As an advocate for improving childhood education and using business as a tool to support the greater good, Day created the website WhatTheWorldNeeds.org, and her Two 4 One Campaign quickly followed. Says Day, “My hope is that WhatTheWorldNeeds.org and You & Me inspire people to live with an open heart and that, through Two 4 One, we’re able to support the American educational system in a time of great need.”

Nancy Casteele – Co-Writer – You-nique

Nancy’s music career began at age 12 when she attended the Conservatory in Belgium where she studied for 4 years. She went on to perform as the lead singer of numerous bands in Belgium, Holland, France and Germany before signing her first publishing deal with Starspan Limited in Ireland.

In 2000 she was given her first record deal with Warner Music Benelux. Her first single, All in One You, quickly became the fastest climber in the Dutch pop charts. When her second single, Searching, was released it rose to #5 in the secondary Dutch pop charts and was titled “Dutch Tip of the Week.”

Upon moving to the United States, Nancy signed a publishing deal with Universal music in Nashville, where she’s been co-writing with writers such as Kostas, Pat Alger, Rob Crosby and Stephany Bently, to name a few. Her songs have been recorded by artists in Canada, Holland, China and the U.S. Her debut album in the States, Prove Me Wrong, was produced by Ken Coomer and Charlie Brocco. You-nique is her first time writing and recording a children’s song. It’s a perfect fit – she’s young at heart!
